Who is Sam Asghari?
Sam was born in Tehran, Iran. As the youngest of his four siblings, he immigrated to Los Angeles with his father at 12. He told Men’s Health about how he knew he was “moving away and never coming back”, leaving most of his family behind.
He was encouraged by his sister to experiment with modeling, walking in his first show at 21 years old. As his career developed, Sam landed gigs with everyone from Toyota Prius for their Super Bowl ad to featuring in the ‘Work From Home’ music video for Fifth Harmony. He’s also an actor who has appeared in Black Monday, Hacks, and The Family Business.
Sam Asghari is also the brains behind ‘Asghari Fitness’, which provides its members with tailored training programs and bespoke meal plans. He lists the mission of his business as helping you “build a stronger, happier version of yourself”.
His relationship with Britney Spears
Sam met Britney on the set of the music video for her 2016 hit ‘Slumber Party’. In his Men’s Health interview, he said that Britney gave him “butterflies” and how he tried to make her laugh. They swapped numbers, had sushi together, and have been an item since then.
If you’ve been on Britney’s Instagram, you’ve probably seen the posts of the couple working out together. Britney’s social media gives a rare insight into the couple’s relationship, which has been one of her most private to date.
Given that their relationship sounds like a perfect match, you might wonder if wedding bells are on the cards. Sam told Entertainment Tonight that he “absolutely” wants to marry her, describing how “we are a family…if we do ever get married, everybody’s going to know”.
Sam Asghari’s comments on the conservatorship
During the recent #FreeBritney controversy, Sam has made a rare public statement to his girlfriend’s fans. His statement to People magazine said that “I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves…I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together”.
What are Sam’s thoughts of Britney’s dad? Well, they’re telling.
On his Instagram stories, he shared that “I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles in our way. In my opinion, Jamie is a total dick”. We have to say… we agree. He’s given his support to the #FreeBritney campaign, including sharing a photograph of him wearing one of the campaign’s t-shirts.
