Call us summertime girls but the summer fashion trends of 2020 are bound to become some of our favorite pieces this year. The 2020 spring/summer runways featured lots of styles that can be easily incorporated into your wardrobe.

Puffy Sleeves

We saw puffy sleeves last year but they were more subtle. This year’s puffy sleeves add lots of volume to the shoulders. We can’t help but wonder how are we going to put on a jacket while wearing this look?

Puff sleeved blouses and dresses where featured in multiple runway shows including Fendi and MaxMara. But this isn’t just a high fashion trend. This style came straight from street fashion and Instagram.

Jumbo puffed sleeves are very 1860’s inspired. (think Louis XIV) Thes outfits showed off power and the higher the sleeves the better. Before the Industrial Revolution textiles were one of the most expensive things you can buy.

We personally love this look for work because much like shoulder pads in a blazer it can help women “take up space” at the office. Try one of these blouses or dresses this summer and see if it makes you feel as powerful as we do.

Metallic Leather

Get your shine on with this metallic leather look. It’s half rock and roll and half disco ball for one hundred percent perfection.

Metallic leather can be found on shoes, jewelry, clutches and bags, skirts and sexy dresses. The metallic leather can be shiny or a muted matte tone.

When you’re wearing a metallic leather remember simplicity is key. Pair a pair of metallic leather pants with a neutral colored tee for a rock-inspired look. Brush a silver highlighter on your checks and wear your hair up for the ultimate going out look. Or try layering the leather with other textures like a crisp white shirt or a knit sweater for a unique look.

Bermuda Shorts

Say good-bye to short shorts and high waited shorts. Designers are bringing back the classic Bermuda shorts for summer 2020. They have been popping up all over runways like Chanel, Ferragamo, and Hermes. Most of these looks feature very long Bermuda shorts which are perfect for those chilly mornings.

You heard us right! This summer people are wearing shoes over pants and we are totally onboard.

Whether you are headed to the office or brunch with friends take a pair of your strappy heels and tie them around your pants. This style looks best with cigarette pants, straight legged jeans, or slack. Complete the look with a blazer or off the shoulder top. This fun style trend is sure to turn a few heads.

Bucket Handbags

Take all your stuff with you in style with a bucket bag. Originated by Louis Vuitton in 1932 to keep champagne fresh, they are now today’s hottest accessory item. These bags offer a lot of room. The long body with a round shape is incredibly cute and looks great with many summer outfits.
